Three years later

Three years have passed since the East Japan Earthquake. I am still lost for words when I try to talk about my feelings for what happened, and what’s been still happening in my motherland. I never dreamed of where we’d stand today, three years later, both personally and as a country. Continue reading »

Buster Keaton Week

This week marks a personal milestone in my career as a silent film pianist. Until this week, I haven’t played for any of Buster Keaton films – but this week finally I will play for it, and not only one but two – SHERLOCK, JR. on October 4 and STEAMBOAT BILL, JR. on October 6. I am very excited about it – and the fact that October 4 is in fact Buster’s Birthday is really “the cherry on top of the cake”. :) Continue reading »
